This ancient art of Japanese wrestling teaches discipline, while developing strength and agility. A class for beginners is held every Thursday from 6:25pm-7:30pm (ages 5-12) and 7:30pm-8:30pm (ages 13-Adults) in the Multi Purpose Room at Cabrillo Middle School located at 2550 Cabrillo Ave. An advanced class is held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-8 pm (Juniors) 8-9:30 pm (Intermediate/Seniors) at the Gymnastics’ Center (Carmichael Park) located at 3445 Benton Street. Kids also have a chance to participate in local tournaments. In order to participate in them, you would need to join the National Judo Association for $50/yr. membership and go through the six-week beginner class and must be recommended/approved by the Sensei. Fees: $35.00 per 6-week session on Thursdays (includes shirt) in the month of January and June and October.
