Reminder PAL-GAL Softball Tryouts are this weekend, Saturday, January 25th

Don’t forget if you are registered for Rookies (Girls ages 9-10) at 9:30 am Sharp or Minors (Ages 11-13) at 12 Noon Sharp, be dressed ready to go for tryouts at Marsalli Field. Wear your plastic cleats and if you have any softball gear you may own (glove for catchers, helmet, etc.). We do provide softball and bat. You will receive a number when you arrive or by 9:25 a.m. or 11:55 a.m. If you did not register yet, please register at the PAL Office by 4:30pm Friday, Jan. 24th or call (408) 615-4879.  Click our Activities Page for more details on our flier. Note: all girls will make a recreational team. Tryouts are especially for those that are trying to move up to a division. If you unable to make this Saturday, please plan to go the following Saturday (see flier). We appreciate all the volunteer coaches for all their time & dedication. Thank you for your support!

Judo has been cancelled for tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th at Cabrillo. Please do not show up to class. Class resumes next week, Jan. 16th. Call the PAL Office if you would like to enroll in our Judo Beginner’s Class. Our six-week session begins in March. Thank you.

Prescription Drug Disposal – Sat., Oct. 26th – 10 am – 2 pm – two locations

Santa Clara Police Department and Kaiser Permanente will join with the Drug Enforcement Administration and offer the public, as well as members of the department, an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by disposing their dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Anyone will be able to drop off medications for disposal at the designated locations. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

 Last April, Americans turned in 371 tons (over 742,000 pounds) of prescription drugs at over 5,800 sites operated by the DEA and its thousands of state and local law enforcement partners. In its six previous Take Back events, DEA and its partners took in over 2.8 million pounds—more than 1,400 tons—of pills.

 Time: 10am to 2pm on Saturday, October 26, 2013 only

Designated Drop Off Locations:

 1. Santa Clara Police Dept., 601 El Camino Real  - Front parking lot

2. Kaiser (Santa Clara) Hospital, 710 Lawrence Expressway – enter the Kaiser driveway off Homestead Rd. and follow the signs.

Come and support our Soccer Jamboree this Sunday, Sept. 22nd – 8 a.m. – 1:30pm – Soccer Game against SCPD at 12:45pm – Central Park

Come and support our Santa Clara PAL Soccer program this Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  There will be a Bounce House, Dunk Tank, Carnival Games, Root Beer Floats, food, beverages and music from KRTY country radio station. Also the PAL Coaches will play a soccer game against the Santa Clara Police Officers at 12:45 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.  Hope you can come and root for your favorite team! All proceeds benefit our PAL Soccer program.
