Welcome to the Santa Clara Police Activities League Web Site!

The Santa Clara Police Activities League was founded by Former Chief of Police Frank Sapena in 1970. The goal was to bring Police, neighborhood volunteers, and kids together in a positive setting. PAL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching our youth the values and rewards that can be accomplished through self-determination, belief in one’s self, desire, teamwork and respect for others.

Competent community volunteers lead PAL programs. The programs include Soccer, Boxing, Bowling, Bicycle Moto-Cross (BMX), Girl’s Softball, Judo, Wrestling, Fishing and Police Explorers. PAL programs are for anyone from 5 years old to 18 years of age with several programs for adults.

PAL depends solely on donations from individuals and corporations. The PAL Board of Directors holds many fund-raisers to help provide necessary equipment, uniforms and insurance. The goal of PAL is to provide sports activities at a low cost to all children. The Community looks forward to annual fund-raising events, which benefit these programs. These events include:

The 4th of July BBQ in Central Park Pavilion
The PAL Golf Tournament at Santa Clara Golf Course
The PAL-Gal Girls Fast Pitch Softball Tournament at Mission College
The Art and Wine Festival at Central Park

Santa Clara PAL does not receive funds from telephone marketing. If you receive a call where the caller represents himself or herself as a representative of Santa Clara PAL, please question them further to understand who they are.

PAL has been in existence for 35 years and thanks you for your support. To make donations or to ask questions, please call the PAL Office Monday through Friday at (408) 615-4880, or write us at 601 El Camino Real, Suite 311, Santa Clara, CA. 95050.

Sincerely,

Officer Bill Davis
Executive Director
